Weston RTC Endorses Nina Daniel and Dennis Tracey for Board of Selectman

The Weston Republican Town Committee (RTC) unanimously endorsed its candidates for Board of Selectman (BOS) on April 14, for the upcoming local election on November 3, 2015. They are Nina Daniel, who will be running for First Selectman, and Dennis Tracey, who will be seeking a third term as Selectman.  Read more here.

Referendum Vote for School Board Budget – May 16th

The second referendum vote for the Weston Board of Education Budget will take place Saturday May 16th from 9am – 5pm in the Weston Town Hall Meeting Room.  Voters can also vote by absentee ballot IN PERSON, beginning Monday May 11th through Friday May 15th in the Town Clerk’s office during regular business hours.

Qualified voters include voters registered in Weston, as well as US citizens on the Weston Grand List.  Registrars request voters bring ID to expedite voting.  More information and absentee ballot applications are available at the town website.

Bob Ferguson Appointed to Weston Board of Finance
Weston RTC Campaign Chair Bob Ferguson was unanimously approved to fill a vacated position on Weston’s Board of Finance beginning May 2, 2015.  Bob’s professional background encompasses 25 years in the financial sector including Managing Director of Portfolio Management and Proprietary Trading at Barclay’s Capital.  Bob will be filling the seat vacated by Michael Carter.  “I would like to thank Michael for his ten years of service.  I will work hard to fill the large shoes that he is leaving,” Ferguson said.

Carrie Pianin Appointed to Weston Building Commission
The Weston RTC’s recommendation of Carrie Pianin to fill a vacancy on the Weston Building Committee was approved on March 19th.  Her term is effective immediately.  Carrie has been involved in development of commercial real estate projects for the past 30 years.

Weston residents got to meet their GOP Candidates Sunday October 19th at the Norfield Grange.
