Dan McNeill Appointed to Vacancy on Weston Board of Education

The Weston Republican Town Committee’s recommendation of Dan McNeill to fill a vacancy on the Board of Education was approved by the Board of Selectmen effective August 31, 2015.  Dan joined the Weston community in 2006 as a second grade teacher at the Hurlbutt Elementary School.  In 2012 he left teaching to pursue other business interests and is currently CEO of 203 Retail LLC, an eCommerce business in Norwalk and the owner of The White Door Toy Store, also in Norwalk.  Dan served two terms as PTO President at the Hurlbutt Elementary School.  For more information.

The Weston RTC held its 2015 Party Caucus on Monday July 27 to nominate the slate for the 2015 municipal election set for Tuesday, November 3rd.  The RTC Nominating Committee, chaired by Dawn Rivera, recommended the candidates for this November’s municipal election, and their endorsements were unanimously approved by the RTC.  Nina Daniel and Dennis Tracey will be at the top of the RTC ticket as First Selectman and Selectman candidates, respectively.  Dennis Tracey is an incumbent seeking a third term.  Here is a list of all candidates.

Weston RTC Endorses Nina Daniel and Dennis Tracey for Board of Selectman

The Weston Republican Town Committee (RTC) unanimously endorsed its candidates for Board of Selectman (BOS) on April 14, for the upcoming local election on November 3, 2015. They are Nina Daniel, who will be running for First Selectman, and Dennis Tracey, who will be seeking a third term as Selectman.  Read more here.

Referendum Vote for School Board Budget – May 16th

The second referendum vote for the Weston Board of Education Budget will take place Saturday May 16th from 9am – 5pm in the Weston Town Hall Meeting Room.  Voters can also vote by absentee ballot IN PERSON, beginning Monday May 11th through Friday May 15th in the Town Clerk’s office during regular business hours.

Qualified voters include voters registered in Weston, as well as US citizens on the Weston Grand List.  Registrars request voters bring ID to expedite voting.  More information and absentee ballot applications are available at the town website.
