Weston First Selectman Woody Bliss looks to the future
ORIGINALLY PUBLISHED in Weston Forum. Written by Kimberly Donnelly, Jan 7, 2009.
Weston First Selectman Woody Bliss is energized by the possibilities 2009 holds for the town.
In addition to the more obvious hopes and wishes for the new year, like “peace on earth,” Mr. Bliss said, “My goal for 2009 is to get Weston heavily involved in energy savings and alternative energy sources.”
The town is well on the road to achieving this goal, Mr. Bliss said. Plans have been in the works for almost two years to undertake a major solar energy project that would make the town “greener” while saving a lot of money. 2009 may see those plans become a reality.
